What does “Unlocked” mean? It means a thousand things: opening, discovering, uncovering, revealing, releasing, unfolding, unwinding, unpacking… on and on and nuanced AF.
In my creative coaching work, for me, “Unlocked” means assisting writers and storytellers in letting go of the false beliefs that:
a) they don’t know how to tell the story they want to tell
b) their story isn’t good enough/valuable enough/interesting enough.
I’m here to tell you: a) You do. b) It is.
It’s that simple. Now, the difficult part is sitting down and writing the damn thing, right? Plus, continuing to release these old belief systems that stop you in your tracks time and time again.
It’s simple, but not easy.
I want so badly for every being on this earth to keep telling their stories because it is healing and restorative and can change the world for the better. I believe this is true of all living things: animals tell us stories, nature, spirit, when we are listening, and human beings, of course. I work specifically with inspired humans who want to articulate their vision through words/prose/teleplays/stage-plays and ultimately, character. This is my superpower, to see your story as you unlock its meaning and help you realize it from the depths of your brain and heart and onto the page.
