SLOWING DOWN

February is barreling into her second half and so much is happening! It’s a good reminder for me to slow down. In slowing down, I’ve been practicing listening. My head is often so noisy inside and pinging with, frankly, a bunch of crap that I don’t need to hear. However, these past few days, I’ve been homing in on listening to my intuition “SLOWING DOWN”

The MILF Community: Strong, Supportive, Sometimes Messy, Badass Women

I live to support women. Truly. It’s my favorite thing to support my friends and any woman in my vicinity who is living. It’s so fucking hard to be female, and even harder to be female, parenting a human, working on something for yourself whether it’s vocational or avocational, and balancing what my guest Anna Lovind calls the ‘patriarchal fuckery’ “The MILF Community: Strong, Supportive, Sometimes Messy, Badass Women”

Why MILF Podcast

Why “MILF” Podcast?

Often times when people learn about MILF Podcast, they ask me what prompted me to start a podcast. The short answer: the healing power of the feminine journey through story.  The long answer: I suffered alone through deeply painful postpartum depression, the worst of which was the torturous dichotomy of having a beautiful, perfect son whom I wanted so much “Why “MILF” Podcast?”

Kindness. Awareness. Acceptance. These are the core values that “My Own Definition of Value”

The hearts and faces of said parents fall, then they try to explain to their child that this will only lead to a life of hardship, heartbreak, and likely poverty. They wonder why “So you wanna be a writer?”

Unlocked: My Free Online Writing Workshop!

What does “Unlocked” mean? It means a thousand things: opening, discovering, uncovering, revealing, releasing, unfolding, unwinding, unpacking… on and on and nuanced AF. In my creative coaching work, for me, “Unlocked” means assisting writers and storytellers in letting go of the false beliefs that: a) they don’t know how to tell the story they want to tell and … b) “Unlocked: My Free Online Writing Workshop!”

Unionize the Uterus!

Do we need to unionize Sex Ed in our kids’ schools? How can we set a fair standard for talk about our bodies, our ovaries, uteruses and vaginas? Our Clitoris? Do we need to unionize as a sex? I’m not suggesting that, per se, but after talking with this week’s guest, Cobie Smulders, about how difficult it still is for “Unionize the Uterus!”
