Jennifer Tracy: What do you think about Blooms, when you hear the word love?
Blooms Liam. T: What do I think about Blooms?
Jennifer Tracy: No what do you... Blooms. Sorry.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay.
Jennifer Tracy: I'm really missing this up.
Blooms Liam. T: What do I think about love. I think love is very important in life. Eternal love.
Jennifer Tracy: Hey guys. Welcome back to the show. This is MILF podcast, the show where we talk about motherhood, entrepreneurship, sexuality, and everything in between. I'm Jennifer Tracy, your host, Happy New Year. This episode is coming out today, New Year's Eve, 2019. We're going into a new year tomorrow and a new decade, which is very exciting. And before we get going, and before I introduce today's very special guest for this bonus episode, I wanted to remind you that this month's give is Hope Scarves. You can find them at hopescarves.org and Lara MacGregor who started this movement is going to be on the show next month. I'm so excited to share that interview with you.
Jennifer Tracy: And also, if you're in and around LA and you need to unplug and unwind and meditate or get a sound bath, you can enjoy one free class at Unplug. You can go to their website, unplug.com. There's one location in West Hollywood and one location in I believe Santa Monica. And if you just mention the MILF podcast, you get one free class and that offer is good through the end of January. So please go enjoy that. I know I'm going to, I haven't gotten there yet, but I really want to go take one of their sound bath classes. That sounds heavenly. Yeah. So gosh, this is such a wonderful time. I love New Year's because everyone always asks me like, "What are you going to do for New Year's?" And my standard answer is I don't do New Year's. I don't go out. I don't go to a New Year's Eve party or... Not that I wouldn't if something came, someone invited me or something, but especially since I had my son, it just feels like I have no interest in that. And I'm in bed most nights anyway at nine at the latest.
Jennifer Tracy: So I don't really do New Year's and I'm totally fine with that. But for me this time of year is always wonderful because it's so quiet. Like everything is shut down in my business and most businesses, but everything's just shut down until after the new year, until like really that first Monday or Tuesday after the break and it's quiet and it's a time to just slow down and hibernate a little bit and spend extra time with family or sleep extra or... It's really a lovely time to not be so gosh darn productive. I mean, not that I don't love, I love being productive, I love it. It feeds me, but I also need those down times to just slow down and just slow way down.
Jennifer Tracy: I'm really grateful and always for me, I like to do a little introspection and a little goal setting for the upcoming year and that's always fun. So, that's me. That's my New Year's ritual and New Year's Eve in particular, I like to get real quiet and just be at home and relax. Just honestly kick it and relax. So today's guest is my son and I have to give all the credit to my producer Sarah, because she texted me one day and said, "I have an idea for your New Year's Eve bonus episode. What if you interviewed your son?" And I said, "Oh, that's an amazing idea, but he's never going to go for it." And I asked him and he said he would.
Jennifer Tracy: And then a couple of weeks went by and he was, "I don't know. I don't know." I was like, "No, it'll be fun, it'll be fun." And he did and we had such a great time and I learned so much about him and we finished recording and I was putting all the equipment away. He said, "Thanks mom. That was really fun." Which is so funny because that's what most of my guests say afterwards because it is... You're nervous, you don't know what's going to come up. It's a very intimate conversation and you don't know what it's going to be like, but then you do it and it's fun. It is actually really fun.
Jennifer Tracy: And so it was cool to hear him say that and just get some of his insights. So just a disclaimer. Well a couple... A spoiler alert, we do talk about the movie Jojo Rabbit and some of the events that happen in it. So if you haven't seen that movie yet, just know that we talk about it and if you haven't seen it, it's spectacular. It's such a great movie. And we do talk about Santa. So we talk about the magic of Santa and the discovery of that and some of the realities around that. So if there's any little ears around that, you don't want to know about the secrets of Santa then they shouldn't listen to this podcast episode. And that's it, so without further ado, Happy New Year and here is me interviewing my son, Blooms Liam Tracy. Hi Blooms.
Blooms Liam. T: Hi mom.
Jennifer Tracy: Thanks so much for being on the show.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: I really appreciate it.
Blooms Liam. T: I appreciate you being my mom.
Jennifer Tracy: And we are in our home recording studio as you so beautifully pointed out.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: Which doubles as our living room.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: And the dogs are here and the Christmas tree is here. No, we're in the recording studio. Is that cool?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: Is it weird to be kind of in my work environment with me.
Blooms Liam. T: No, not really.
Jennifer Tracy: Is this what you imagined a podcast recording to be like?
Blooms Liam. T: No.
Jennifer Tracy: What did you imagine it to be like?
Blooms Liam. T: I don't know. I don't listen to podcasts.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh, right, that makes sense.
Blooms Liam. T: So it's New Year's Eve. I mean it's not right now, but this episode's coming out on New Year's Eve.
Jennifer Tracy: Yes.
Blooms Liam. T: And this is a very special bonus episode and I'm so grateful to you for agreeing to be on the show with me. Thank you for that.
Jennifer Tracy: Yes. Your show is very cool.
Blooms Liam. T: Thank you.
Jennifer Tracy: So Christmas will have just passed when this show airs, but right now we're still waiting for Christmas to come. What do you love about Christmas?
Blooms Liam. T: The presents.
Jennifer Tracy: Is that the best part?
Blooms Liam. T: No.
Jennifer Tracy: No.
Blooms Liam. T: I'm probably supposed to say family but-
Jennifer Tracy: No, no. You're supposed to say the truth.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay.
Jennifer Tracy: Are presents the best part, if they are, say it. That's cool.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, probably not. I just like seeing nana and papa.
Jennifer Tracy: I know. I like seeing nana and papa too. But the presents are pretty cool. I love getting you the presents. Now there's something that's different this year from last year and-
Blooms Liam. T: I don't know what's different.
Jennifer Tracy: I will have already-
Blooms Liam. T: You got me different presents.
Jennifer Tracy: Well duh. Of course I got you different presents. No, but last year and I've already recorded a disclaimer that we were going to talk about Santa, so if there's any little ear about there that's-
Blooms Liam. T: Santa.
Jennifer Tracy: So you made a discovery. Can you tell the story of how you made that discovery last year after Christmas.
Blooms Liam. T: So I was looking on your phone at your orders because I was trying to find something like-
Jennifer Tracy: Were you trying to find something or were you snooping in my orders-
Blooms Liam. T: No.
Jennifer Tracy: ... because you suspected, okay.
Blooms Liam. T: No I was... It was like a month after Christmas.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay.
Blooms Liam. T: And I was looking and I was trying to look for something because I wanted to get it again. And then right before I got to it, I saw one of these presents that said it was from Santa, but it's on your orders and I'm like, "Oh Santa doesn't shop on your orders."
Jennifer Tracy: So how did you feel when you saw that?
Blooms Liam. T: I was bummed out a little bit.
Jennifer Tracy: Were you bummed out.
Blooms Liam. T: A little bit.
Jennifer Tracy: Know you didn't tell me this until like a month ago. So you kept this information to yourself?
Blooms Liam. T: No, I didn't. I told you right when I saw it, I was... And dad was there.
Jennifer Tracy: I don't remember this. And what did I say? Did I deny it and say, "Oh Santa is real."
Blooms Liam. T: A little bit.
Jennifer Tracy: And what do you think about that? The fact that parents all over the world make their kids believe in this person that's magical. I mean what do you feel about that?
Blooms Liam. T: I get how he is like super fat because he has to eat cookies every day, but maybe he could be thinned. Thinsk.
Jennifer Tracy: Thinsk?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah that's the Russian way to say it.
Jennifer Tracy: Thinsky.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. Well because she could have-
Jennifer Tracy: You think that it's okay for us to lie to you guys, we should just have a more fit version of this person.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, maybe because he could have magical powers because in the Christmas Chronicles... That movie is amazing. It's on Netflix by the way.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh, good plug. Good plug.
Blooms Liam. T: And-
Jennifer Tracy: Our friend Matt Lieberman wrote that actually.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. He's a very good writer and he's not fat or anything?
Jennifer Tracy: Not Matt, we're talking about Santa. Matt's totally not fat.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: But Santa is not fat in the Christmas Chronicles, right?
Blooms Liam. T: And he can fly.
Jennifer Tracy: So the best part of Christmas is the presents and now you have this new information.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you feel like that's going to change Christmas this year for you?
Blooms Liam. T: Not at all.
Jennifer Tracy: Really? How so?
Blooms Liam. T: Because, I don't know. I didn't really write Santa letters that much. I don't know. I don't think so, maybe. We'll have to see. It's in nine days. Nine and a half.
Jennifer Tracy: And your friends at school and your friends elsewhere, do you guys-
Blooms Liam. T: Nope.
Jennifer Tracy: What do you mean no?
Blooms Liam. T: I thought you were going to ask who they believe in. Santa.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh no, no, no. I was just going to say, do you guys talk about Christmas and plans and-
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, we talk about having each other over and stuff because it's really fun and we talk about the music and how Christmas jazz is awesome.
Jennifer Tracy: Christmas jazz is awesome. Tell me more about that.
Blooms Liam. T: What about it?
Jennifer Tracy: What specific Christmas jazz do you like?
Blooms Liam. T: Oscar Peterson.
Jennifer Tracy: Sweet. And you prefer the Christmas jazz to other Christmas music?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: Because there's all kinds of Christmas music, but it's interesting that you... You like jazz in general. You liked Oscar Peterson before?
Blooms Liam. T: I do because I like playing the piano.
Jennifer Tracy: You can play CGM blues on the piano, which is pretty impressive.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. And the Star Wars anthem.
Jennifer Tracy: You can play the Star Wars anthem.
Blooms Liam. T: Mm-hmm (affirmative).
Jennifer Tracy: So Christmas jazz, you guys talk about having friends over? Now when I was... I was going to say when I was your age, but not just when I was your age. I am an only child also. So we're both only children-
Blooms Liam. T: Kind of, you have a brother.
Jennifer Tracy: You're right. God, you're right. Telling it like it is. I do have a half brother that I'm not in touch with. And you have a half sister.
Blooms Liam. T: I do.
Jennifer Tracy: That you are in touch with, but you don't really see her that often.
Blooms Liam. T: Well I see her kind of a lot more than, I don't know. I kind of see her a lot.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah. Well you guys just went to Thanksgiving together.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, she's a good sister.
Jennifer Tracy: There's a big age difference between you though. She's 25 and you're 10.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, very much. 15 years apart.
Jennifer Tracy: What does that feel like?
Blooms Liam. T: It's okay.
Jennifer Tracy: Does it feel like she's your sister or does it feel like she's just a big kid?
Blooms Liam. T: It feels like she's my sister. Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah. That's cool. And so you're going to have your friends over on Christmas break. Winter break. And I would assume you have friends who do not celebrate Christmas.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, I do.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay. And how does that work when you guys are talking about the holidays and stuff?
Blooms Liam. T: I don't know.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you guys talk about Hanukkah or?
Blooms Liam. T: Not always because most of my friends celebrate Christmas.
Jennifer Tracy: Interesting.
Blooms Liam. T: There is this kid at my old school and one time my friend Ollie, he was talking and he was like, "We should maybe have Christmas lights on this." But then the other kid said, "That is offensive," because he celebrated Hanukkah and I was just puzzled by that because how is Christmas lights have to do with Hanukkah at all. Christmas lights you can use for anything, led lights.
Jennifer Tracy: So it wasn't a Christmas decoration you guys were talking about, it was just something you wanted to put twinkle lights on.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: But because he called them Christmas lights, this other child said that's offensive.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: What do you think about that? Does that come up a lot with you guys in this generation? To me it feels like that comes up a lot, the cultural appropriation. And do you feel you have to watch what you say?
Blooms Liam. T: Not really, because at my school it's just really fun and there's not really a policy that you can't talk about Christmas. But at my old school, that was a different deal. And it's turning out to kind of be, I don't know, a little.
Jennifer Tracy: A thing.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. And some of my friends are leaving there now.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah. And what is the most important thing to you in this moment in life? If you had to pick three things that you're really into or excited about, what are those?
Blooms Liam. T: Well, I'm very thankful. I'm thankful for us having a house and it's quite a nice house and it's pretty on the inside and I'm very thankful for that and I'm thankful to have parents because some people don't have parents and I'm thankful that I'm not homeless because I've seen people on the streets and they don't seem very happy. The other day I saw a homeless woman with a dog and me and my dad were walking in and we just had picked up some food and we gave her some money and she was very thankful and I just thought that was really amazing how thankful she was for this money. And it was really nice to give something.
Jennifer Tracy: That made you feel good?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: And we see a lot... And I've talked about this on the show before. Slash stop it. Our dog is chewing a toy here in our recording studio.
Blooms Liam. T: He smells like cookies.
Jennifer Tracy: He does smell like cookies. He really does. But the other one doesn't. The other one gets stinky faster.
Blooms Liam. T: Goaty.
Jennifer Tracy: He gets goaty. That's what we call it in our family.
Blooms Liam. T: Fish camp.
Jennifer Tracy: Fish camp.
Blooms Liam. T: He gets outside a lot more and runs and gets into toys.
Jennifer Tracy: I guess he does. He's just a dirtier dog.
Blooms Liam. T: Tinky.
Jennifer Tracy: Tinky. We see the homeless encampments every day driving to school and not just driving to school, driving everywhere. I mean it's really... Especially in our... We live in West Hollywood and we drive through Hollywood every morning.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: It's a lot. Were you shaking your head because you don't want to talk about it or because it's upsetting.
Blooms Liam. T: No, I just don't want to talk about homelessness right now.
Jennifer Tracy: You're not... Yeah.
Blooms Liam. T: It's just not... There's so much.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah.
Blooms Liam. T: In Baton Rouge, there's like barely any.
Jennifer Tracy: Because you just went there to visit your dad's side of the family.
Blooms Liam. T: The fam.
Jennifer Tracy: The fam.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: Now what's interesting too about that, I want to point this out. So on my side of the family is tiny it's just me and nana and papa.
Blooms Liam. T: And uncle.
Jennifer Tracy: And uncle Jim who pops in and out sometimes we don't know where he is some of the time. But that's it. And on your dad's side it's huge-
Blooms Liam. T: Humongous.
Jennifer Tracy: ... big Catholic family. He has five brothers and sisters, four still living and they all have families and kids and some of those kids have kids. And so what's that like going from your life with me, with your single mom in our little house and then going to visit that. What is the difference and what does that feel like?
Blooms Liam. T: It feels really, really... Feels good to have one side of the family not too big, not too small And then the other side humongous because when I was there, we met a guy and he was, "Oh my God, you're..." He was related to us and we didn't even know.
Jennifer Tracy: Are you serious?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh my God, that's so Southern.
Blooms Liam. T: I know.
Jennifer Tracy: Where did you guys run into him? At the game, at the football game?
Blooms Liam. T: No, we went to... Actually yes, one of them.
Jennifer Tracy: One of them. There was more than one that you found out you were related to.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. We went to his old high school-
Jennifer Tracy: Your dad's old high school?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. My dad's old high school and we saw the basketball coach was related to us. And I was, "Oh my God, they just keep popping up and popping up and popping up."
Jennifer Tracy: Do you want to share with our listeners what was on your Christmas list this year?
Blooms Liam. T: I don't remember.
Jennifer Tracy: You don't remember.
Blooms Liam. T: Even though it was so short.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you remember like two things that were on it?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, an Apple watch and an Airsoft Thompson and a German uniform.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay that brings up something really cool. You are a real history buff.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: And kind of right after you went through your car's phase, I mean there was the movie's Cars, but then you were just obsessed with cars and vehicles and trucks and-
Blooms Liam. T: I still kind of am. Every single type of car. It's just fascinating. I mean there's so many.
Jennifer Tracy: There's so many, right?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: It's such a dude thing to be into cars.
Blooms Liam. T: BMW's
Jennifer Tracy: Why do you think that is?
Blooms Liam. T: Porsche's.
Jennifer Tracy: Why do you think that is?
Blooms Liam. T: I don't know. Boys are into stuff that sometimes girls aren't. Some girls are gamers and some aren't. And most boys are gamers and some aren't.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you consider yourself a gamer?
Blooms Liam. T: Kind of.
Jennifer Tracy: Kind of. Why kind of?
Blooms Liam. T: Because I don't really... I have so many game consoles, but I rarely play.
Jennifer Tracy: You really haven't been playing that much lately.
Blooms Liam. T: No. I really like Legos.
Jennifer Tracy: You've been very into the Legos. So that brings me back to the history stuff. So you are... I mean we could say obsessed right, with world war II.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: And what about it is so compelling to you?
Blooms Liam. T: It's just, I find it fascinating that there's so many world war II things, it's been going on for six years I think-
Jennifer Tracy: Your obsession?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, and I just have studied a lot about it and I have a lot of books about it that I enjoy reading and it's just really, I like using action figures to build recreation's of it and me and my friend, we will make a diaroma of it with some tanks and get some tanks and just make it out of like styrofoam and clay and it's really fun.
Jennifer Tracy: You've made some incredible bases with your Lego sets. I mean really detailed. I mean with... And you think about what you personally think about what the action sequence has been. And so there's like this aftermath just for our listeners, so I could describe, you'll have little red Lego pellets that's the blood that would have come out in a certain way. And you thought about how that soldier died and... But just to be clear, I know some people are, "Ooh, violence." And well but that's part of life and this is part of history. This happened, this actually happened.
Blooms Liam. T: And it's kind of funny because Winston will help me sometime. Winston's our dog.
Jennifer Tracy: Winston's our dog.
Blooms Liam. T: I just put a Lego guy in his mouth and he'll chew it up and then I'll grab it out and it looks like he just got his face exploded, just shot in the face.
Jennifer Tracy: Remember when we first adopted Winston and he ate a Lego and we freaked out. We called the vet because we were worried and she said, "Oh no, he'll just poop it out. It's all good. Don't worry." And he's been eating Legos ever since.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: But so you love creating these scenes and we've discovered, you've discovered all these because there are many other grownups that share your passion for world war II history. And you found all these YouTube series, episodes. My favorite one is Clonetrooperx39.
Blooms Liam. T: What's it called?
Jennifer Tracy: Clonetrooperx39 and if I could meet him that'd be so cool.
Blooms Liam. T: Who's this?
Jennifer Tracy: What is this person?
Blooms Liam. T: He's a YouTuber, and he makes these Lego mocks and giveaways.
Jennifer Tracy: But you've also watched these archeological digs. We were watching one the other day. These guys were in Latvia.
Blooms Liam. T: No, I think it was a town in Germany, Hamburg, Germany I'm pretty sure.
Jennifer Tracy: And they were digging up and they found all these artifacts in a trench that had been a German trench in world war II.
Blooms Liam. T: It was a communication foxhole and they would cover it up with leaves on the top and there'd be like a tunnel that you have to crawl through to get to the point and it'd be really thin, the roof and so it could collapse on them. But they were railing to take that chance because they're fricking like Nazis or idiots and-
Jennifer Tracy: They were brainwashed into thinking that they were doing the right thing.
Blooms Liam. T: And they would have communication set up and they would be able to see if there's any tanks or planes incoming and they set an alarm and there was night shifts. So in the middle of the night, men would go out and switch for I don't know, like two hours and they'd use these [inaudible 00:23:53] and they would keep them up and they'd be on the communication.
Jennifer Tracy: That's a Red Bull for Nazi soldier.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, sure. You can call it that.
Jennifer Tracy: It sounds awful.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: I mean that existence. What do you think about when you think about these men on any of the sides. The Nazi soldiers or the American soldiers, the English soldiers. What do you think about when you think about these men out there?
Blooms Liam. T: I think that they are very brave to go into war and... I know some of them got forced to, but still you're being brave and you just have a gun and knife and a backpack and that's the only equipment.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah, there's nothing, there's no bed, there's no pillow, there's no bathroom, there's no kitchen, there's no... And they left their families. I wonder if that's why you find it so compelling in part, I mean, I know there's the action and all that or the AMO and the artillery is fascinating to you but-
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, that's the most thing that I study and know every single gun.
Jennifer Tracy: You really do know every single gun. Now we recently went to see Jojo Rabbit together.
Blooms Liam. T: That kind... If you want to know a lot about what I just explained you can go there.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah. To see Jojo Rabbit.
Blooms Liam. T: And I just basically explained what's in that movie.
Jennifer Tracy: Well, but the movie is really mostly about Jojo, the little boy and his relationship with the girl that he discovers.
Blooms Liam. T: And she's a Jew and he shows nothing to her. But then at the end he really likes her and falls in love with her and it's just fascinating because I think it's really cool how they show this in world war II and how Hitler hated Jews and there was hanging, it was pretty funny also though.
Jennifer Tracy: The movie?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: What was funny about it?
Blooms Liam. T: There was this one part in it where Jojo Rabbit, the main character, he grabs her grenade and he throws it, but it bounces back to him and he gets exploded and then his mom gets really pissed at the general of their platoon and the camp and she is royalty, so she can slap him and do whatever she wants.
Jennifer Tracy: Is that how that works.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, she's mad. She can just lock them.
Jennifer Tracy: But only because that was the scene in the movie, that would probably wouldn't happen in real life. Well maybe it would have in that time, I don't know.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, in that time if you were really mad at... If you did something that Hitler did not like... You'd get shot.
Jennifer Tracy: That's so scary, right?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah I know. There's a recreation of that video game.
Jennifer Tracy: What video game?
Blooms Liam. T: It's called Wolf and... I mean World War II, it's called Wolf and Stein is basically the Germans rule the world and it's pretty violent. There's a lot of blood.
Jennifer Tracy: Now how do you... It's interesting because you do play some video games that are pretty violent. How do you kind of separate that from what it is like in the real world when someone gets shot.
Blooms Liam. T: Well basically it looks really real but I don't know. I just don't picture it in the real world. I just focus on the video game. Or there's the skip, you can just skip it.
Jennifer Tracy: And go to the next scene.
Blooms Liam. T: And just play the video game.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you think video games are detrimental to your generation? Meaning... Do you know what that means? Detrimental.
Blooms Liam. T: What did you say?
Jennifer Tracy: Do you think video games are detrimental to your generation?
Blooms Liam. T: No.
Jennifer Tracy: You don't?
Blooms Liam. T: I don't.
Jennifer Tracy: You think they're positive?
Blooms Liam. T: Not in all ways. There can be some that are very inappropriate. One time my father got me a video game when I was seven and it was called the Last Of Us and it was about zombies and it was really, really just violent. And I took a video of him playing it and he got his neck bitten off and it was really-
Jennifer Tracy: Who got his neck bitten off?
Blooms Liam. T: Dad playing.
Jennifer Tracy: The character.
Blooms Liam. T: The character got-
Jennifer Tracy: And you had nightmares about it?
Blooms Liam. T: I did not have nightmares about it.
Jennifer Tracy: You didn't, but you were freaked out.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, it was pretty weird. And I just stopped playing.
Jennifer Tracy: So that didn't feel good.
Blooms Liam. T: Not at all.
Jennifer Tracy: Are you still a bit traumatized from it?
Blooms Liam. T: No, because I still have it.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you play it now?
Blooms Liam. T: No.
Jennifer Tracy: No.
Blooms Liam. T: I even remember what level I was on. It was on level seven, humongous game. That was huge. It's 100 levels.
Jennifer Tracy: Do you have any questions for me on the show?
Blooms Liam. T: Who are you?
Jennifer Tracy: I am your mother. I am Jennifer Tracy, host of MILF podcast and I am your mother. Next question.
Blooms Liam. T: MILF stands for?
Jennifer Tracy: Moms I'd like to follow.
Blooms Liam. T: Or moms I'd like to follow.
Jennifer Tracy: Yep. That's what it stands for. What else, buddy? What else do you want to know or do you want our listeners to know about me?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. Leave your questions in the comments. I don't know any questions.
Jennifer Tracy: That's okay. You don't have to.
Blooms Liam. T: What's your favorite era?
Jennifer Tracy: My favorite era. Oh, that's a great question.
Blooms Liam. T: Winston's really pissed off about something.
Jennifer Tracy: I know I hear him barking outside. My favorite era. Gosh, I don't know. I'd have to say right now.
Blooms Liam. T: Really? 2019.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah.
Blooms Liam. T: Favorite era. Okay. Here's another question. If you could time travel to any Christmas, which age would it be?
Jennifer Tracy: My age in my life?
Blooms Liam. T: No, in like on a Christmas. What year or something?
Jennifer Tracy: Gosh, just for one day? I need the parameters of this.
Blooms Liam. T: No, yeah for one day, I guess.
Jennifer Tracy: Let me think about this. I guess I would and I would be my age now traveling back, so it'd be a 44-year-old woman traveling back.
Blooms Liam. T: No, you'd be the same age as you were when that happened.
Jennifer Tracy: What if I wasn't alive before it happened. I'm making this way to complicated.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, you are. You're complicating things.
Jennifer Tracy: I wouldn't, I don't know how to answer that. I wouldn't want a time travel.
Blooms Liam. T: Really?
Jennifer Tracy: No. I want to be in this Christmas right now.
Blooms Liam. T: What is your favorite TV show?
Jennifer Tracy: My favorite TV show of all time-
Blooms Liam. T: Is The Office.
Jennifer Tracy: That's your favorite TV show of all time.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah it's mine.
Jennifer Tracy: My favorite TV show of all time is, it's tied, there's two of them, Six Feet Under.
Blooms Liam. T: What's that about, sharks?
Jennifer Tracy: And Breaking Bad. No six feet under is about a family in Los Angeles who owns a mortuary where they prepare dead bodies for viewings and funerals and it's kind of about death, but it's really about the family that lives there.
Blooms Liam. T: I know what you're talking about. I've seen that.
Jennifer Tracy: It's such a good show and then Breaking Bad is about-
Blooms Liam. T: Is it in like the olden days?
Jennifer Tracy: No, it's modern day.
Blooms Liam. T: Really? Oh, but they have one of these cars that carry.
Jennifer Tracy: Yes, they have a hearse and the teenage girl ends up driving the hearse, she paints it green.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, I know.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh my God Winston. You are a nut job.
Blooms Liam. T: Winston.
Jennifer Tracy: It's all happening all at once. Okay, I'm going to ask you three questions that I ask every guest.
Blooms Liam. T: You need to clean up our recording room later.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay. And then I'm going to go into a lightning round of questions.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay.
Jennifer Tracy: What do you think... Winston fuck off. With the note, lay down.
Blooms Liam. T: Language.
Jennifer Tracy: Winston, I mean Blooms. Oh my God [inaudible 00:32:37] confused.
Blooms Liam. T: Just go the question.
Jennifer Tracy: Yes. Okay sorry. What do you think about Blooms, when you hear the word love?
Blooms Liam. T: What do I think about Blooms?
Jennifer Tracy: No, what do you... Blooms, sorry.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay.
Jennifer Tracy: I'm really messing this up.
Blooms Liam. T: What do I think about love? I think love is very important in life.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah.
Blooms Liam. T: Eternal love.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh, what is eternal love? How do you define eternal love?
Blooms Liam. T: Very important. Very important Mr. Harry Potter. Mr Potter.
Jennifer Tracy: What's important about eternal love? What do you mean eternal love, like forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes. That's what I [inaudible 00:33:20].
Jennifer Tracy: You believe in eternal love?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes. Because my dad's having it right now. Wait, no, nevermind, that's...
Jennifer Tracy: What do you mean?
Blooms Liam. T: That's no. Bad example, they're not really. Okay next question. Please next question. Next question. Can we speed this up.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh God.
Blooms Liam. T: Mom.
Jennifer Tracy: And he's calling. Here, he's calling, this is hilarious.
Blooms Liam. T: Who is?
Jennifer Tracy: Your father.
Blooms Liam. T: Oh, can you not?
Jennifer Tracy: No, I'm not going to answer it. If you could live anywhere in the world other than where you're living now. Where would you live?
Blooms Liam. T: Europe.
Jennifer Tracy: What part of Europe?
Blooms Liam. T: Europe.
Jennifer Tracy: Just anywhere in Europe?
Blooms Liam. T: No. I would have multiple houses in Europe.
Jennifer Tracy: Multiple houses in Europe.
Blooms Liam. T: Wait, and I just have a house in Paris, London and Germany and Maui. Titiweenie, I forgot how to pronounce that.
Jennifer Tracy: Titiweenie.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, it's where it's a vacation where-
Jennifer Tracy: Tahiti?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah. Tahiti.
Jennifer Tracy: I like titiweenie better.
Blooms Liam. T: That's not-
Jennifer Tracy: Can we call it titiweenie?
Blooms Liam. T: No because it has... It sounds like a really tiny weenie.
Jennifer Tracy: That's why I like it.
Blooms Liam. T: Slash has a titiweenie. Okay, next question.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay. Yep. This is the lightning round.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay.
Jennifer Tracy: Fireside or Ocean side?
Blooms Liam. T: Oceanside.
Jennifer Tracy: Favorite junk food.
Blooms Liam. T: I hate junk food.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh, bullshit.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay. Doritos.
Jennifer Tracy: You live on junk food.
Blooms Liam. T: No, I don't.
Jennifer Tracy: Blooms.
Blooms Liam. T: I only eat Doritos and that's the only thing. Is that your point?
Jennifer Tracy: Yes, it's my point.
Blooms Liam. T: But that's... You said many junk foods.
Jennifer Tracy: No I said favorite junk food.
Blooms Liam. T: Oh, I love Doritos.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay. Do you like theme parks?
Blooms Liam. T: They're okay.
Jennifer Tracy: They're okay.
Blooms Liam. T: Half Z.
Jennifer Tracy: Half Z, so half like it and half don't like it.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: Shower or bathtub?
Blooms Liam. T: Shower.
Jennifer Tracy: On a scale of one to 10, how good are you at making lasagna?
Blooms Liam. T: Six.
Jennifer Tracy: Have you ever made lasagna?
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, I've made it with dad.
Jennifer Tracy: You have?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, I have.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay.
Blooms Liam. T: And it was very tasty.
Jennifer Tracy: Fair enough. What's your biggest pet peeve?
Blooms Liam. T: I don't have one.
Jennifer Tracy: You don't.
Blooms Liam. T: Math.
Jennifer Tracy: Super power choice. Invisibility, ability to fly or super strength.
Blooms Liam. T: Invisibility. Would you want more of that information? Why?
Jennifer Tracy: Yes. Yes I do, of course I do.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay invisible. Many of my friends have chosen invisible so they could sneak cupcakes into the room.
Jennifer Tracy: It's cool.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, and I would choose invisibility because I could... Wait was time travel one of them?
Jennifer Tracy: No.
Blooms Liam. T: Okay. Invisibility because it would be really cool to be invisible and no one see you and you could scare people and not super strength because you can be smart and have super strength, right?
Jennifer Tracy: You can be smart and be stupid.
Blooms Liam. T: No. Smart and be strong?
Jennifer Tracy: Right.
Blooms Liam. T: But also super strength. I don't really know... You could lift stuff but-
Jennifer Tracy: So invisibility.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah just invisibility. Next question.
Jennifer Tracy: Would you rather have a penis where your tailbone is-
Blooms Liam. T: This is just like would you rather have a penis or a hand or a penis for a hand or a hand for a penis.
Jennifer Tracy: Would you rather have a penis where your hand is or a hand-
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: ... where your penis is? No let me first finish asking the question.
Blooms Liam. T: No hand for a penis.
Jennifer Tracy: You would have a hand for a penis?
Blooms Liam. T: Because-
Jennifer Tracy: Wait a hand, wait-
Blooms Liam. T: A penis for a hand.
Jennifer Tracy: You'd have a penis where your hand is?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes.
Jennifer Tracy: Why?
Blooms Liam. T: Because I can hide that and you can't really hide a hand down there. And if you go to school and someone said, "Whoa, what happened there man?" And then you'd have to like lie, "Swelling."
Jennifer Tracy: But how do you hide a hand that looks like a penis? I mean that's kind of hard to hide.
Blooms Liam. T: I would have, okay. I would have a penis for a hand.
Jennifer Tracy: No, don't change your answer because of me. I'm just debating here.
Blooms Liam. T: No I want to change it now because you made a good point. So yeah, I could just keep it, I don't know. Next question please. That was a really weird question.
Jennifer Tracy: Well, I got to get a little weird.
Blooms Liam. T: Well, uncle Ezra did create that question.
Jennifer Tracy: He did.
Blooms Liam. T: So yes. Next please.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay. What was the name of your first pet?
Blooms Liam. T: Which one? We had four.
Jennifer Tracy: Well, the first pet you ever had?
Blooms Liam. T: Winston Churchill. No I'm just kidding.
Jennifer Tracy: What was the name of the street you grew up on?
Blooms Liam. T: Oh, I forgot.
Jennifer Tracy: Oh, okay. Right. So, that joke doesn't work.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay. Last question. And it's actually not really a question. It's just me saying, Blooms I'm so grateful I get to be your mom.
Blooms Liam. T: Yeah, that's not a question.
Jennifer Tracy: But it's a fact.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes. Well, are you sure about that?
Jennifer Tracy: 100%.
Blooms Liam. T: That was for my friends if they ever watch this.
Jennifer Tracy: Yeah. Okay. I love you. Thanks for being on the show.
Blooms Liam. T: Shout out to Ms. Boone.
Jennifer Tracy: Shout out to Ms. Boone.
Blooms Liam. T: Ms. Boone. Mr. Braidy, Ms. [Lamika 00:39:50], Ms. Morales, Ms. Hanish, Ms. Rudolph and all of the other teachers in the lower school.
Jennifer Tracy: Nice.
Blooms Liam. T: At my school.
Jennifer Tracy: You love your teachers?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes, they're pretty cool.
Jennifer Tracy: That's awesome babe.
Blooms Liam. T: Yes. All right.
Jennifer Tracy: I love you. Thanks for being on the show.
Blooms Liam. T: Bye.
Jennifer Tracy: Thanks so much for listening guys. I really hope you enjoyed my conversation with my son. Happy New Year to you. I hope you have a safe and happy and prosperous new year and I'll be seeing you next year for the next episode of MILF podcast. Love you. Hi Blooms.
Blooms Liam. T: Hi.
Jennifer Tracy: Thanks so much for being on the show.
Blooms Liam. T: You're welcome.
Jennifer Tracy: I'm really happy you're here in our home recording studio.
Blooms Liam. T: Pause, pause-
Jennifer Tracy: Why?
Blooms Liam. T: ... pause, stop, pause.
Jennifer Tracy: Why? Why? Why?
Blooms Liam. T: Pause.
Jennifer Tracy: Tell me why.
Blooms Liam. T: No, pause.
Jennifer Tracy: I can edit this out but just tell me why.
Blooms Liam. T: Stop, no just pause.
Jennifer Tracy: Blooms I don't work this way. Why do you want to pause it?
Blooms Liam. T: Pause it, now or else I'm not doing this. What if I just farted into this.
Jennifer Tracy: Did you record that?
Blooms Liam. T: Yes. I'm never saying that again. You're mean.
Jennifer Tracy: I'm not mean.
Blooms Liam. T: Delete it.
Jennifer Tracy: Okay deleted. All right. Say something else. I'm going to test your levels.
Blooms Liam. T: [Weenie 00:41:19] you're so cute.

  1. Just got to listen to this today finally. Loved it so much and would listen to you interview him every week! My question is, now that Christmas is behind him, was there any big difference in his enjoyment this year… knowing that you guys were Santa? I let Ollie listen to it after the Santa stuff because, well you know he still has the Santa love! He was absolutely riveted! If you ever want to interview him I would love to hear what you could get out of him. Really great Jen and now I’m totally getting into podcasts so I look forward to catching up. By the way I listened to today’s which reminded me to go back and listen to this. I loved today’s also. I wonder if she liked Joker? Fresh Air did a great interview with Todd Phillips about Joker.
